My EPs — Beats and Bleeps and Strings and Wood — were released on 16 October 2026, across all major streaming and download platforms.
The companion releases deliberately occupy two different musical worlds: one centred on guitars and more organic textures, the other on electronic sounds, beats and synthesisers.
These releases are the culmination of an unusually concentrated period of writing, recording, editing and production. I have been writing songs since 1974, but retirement from full-time work finally gave me the time to revisit ideas properly, refine arrangements and focus on the detail of each recording rather than fitting music around the rest of my life.
These two EPs represent a year of intensive work, and some of the tracks have actually been three years or more in the making. I’m really excited to finally let them out into the world — and I hope you’ll enjoy hearing where all those ideas have led.
A song about those fleeting British summer moments — the sunglasses appearing at the first glimpse of sun, drinks outside, trips to the seaside, fish & chips, paddling in the sea and trying to enjoy every second before the weather changes again.
